Global Research Analyst

Role Overview
Eurasia Strategy Insights is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Volunteer Research Analyst to support our ongoing research on geopolitical and economic developments across Eurasia. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects, exploring the interconnection between politics, trade, and business across one of the most strategically important regions in the world.
As a Research Analyst, you will collaborate with ESI's senior experts to analyse emerging geopolitical risks, economic trends, and policy changes in Eurasia. You will contribute to producing insightful reports, briefings, and analysis that support our clients in making informed strategic decisions. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for geopolitics and international business who are eager to build their research skills and gain experience in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research on geopolitical and economic developments across Eurasia, covering regions such as Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.
- Analyse the impact of political, economic, and policy changes on trade, investment, and business activities in the region.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to produce comprehensive reports, white papers, and articles for ESI publications.
- Monitor major geopolitical events and trends relevant to Eurasia, including foreign relations, natural resources, trade routes, and regional cooperation.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geopolitics, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of political and economic dynamics within Eurasia, with a focus on one or more regions (e.g., Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Caucasus).
- Ability to conduct thorough research and provide clear, concise, and actionable insights.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Passion for global affairs and a keen interest in understanding the intersection of geopolitics and business.
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in a relevant regional language (e.g., Russian, Turkish, Mandarin, etc.) is a plus but not required.
